Privacy Policy
A plain explanation of what we collect and what we don't.
The Ledger Gazette is a small, independent publication. We collect as little information about visitors as we reasonably can, and this page explains what that is.
Server and hosting logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider and content-delivery network keep standard server logs when a page is requested — things like IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and basic traffic diagnostics. We don't cross-reference them with any other data we hold, and we don't use them to build individual visitor profiles.
Newsletter signup
If you choose to sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. That address is used solely to send you the newsletter and is not shared with or sold to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every issue.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone. We aren't in the business of monetizing reader data, and we don't run a data-sharing arrangement with advertisers.
Cookies
This site keeps cookie use minimal. We may use a small number of cookies needed for basic site functionality. We don't run third-party ad-tracking cookies as a matter of course.
Requests and questions
If you'd like to know what information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or have any other privacy question, email the editors at editors@ledgergazette.com and we'll respond as promptly as we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
